I'm Back (I Hope)

Hello blog, I've missed you.

It's been a little over a year since the last time that I spilled my guts on the internet for longer than 140 characters at a time (follow me @SabriNUTZ). And oh what a year it has been. I have had more ups and downs than a Ziploc baggie of pills at a rave, but I have made it out on the other side in one piece. Happy, healthy, optimistic... and about to turn 30.

I am picking this blog back up for many reasons.

#1 - The craziest most bizarre stuff happens to me and I want to remember the stories to one day tell my daughter(s) and niece(s). Seriously. I may even have to back date a few stories because they are just too good to not be shared with the world.

#2 - It'd be nice to have a written record of my 30's, cause my 20's are memorialized only by 2,300+ tagged pictures on Facebook, a few YouTube videos, a fabulous collection of dangerously high heeled pumps, a chipped pink Blackberry, and a series of somewhat hazy memories in my head. I gotta do better than that for this next decade because I am grown now. Or at least that's what they tell me.

#3 - Much like my chipped pink Blackberry, I now have nights and weekends free, because I am no longer in school. For the first time since I was 4 years old, I have no tests, no quizzes, and no homework. I am devoid of the Sunday guilt associated with a weekend spent lounging and partying that should have been spent reading and studying. I can lounge and party all I want to now. But that's boring. So I am back to giving myself homework assignments, i.e. write in this thing a couple nights per week.

#4 - Everyone else is doing it. That's a good enough reason for me. If everyone else can say their thoughts and have people read them, so can I. Anything you can do... you know how that goes.

#5 - I like doing this. I like to write and read and edit and write again. Gives me an outlet that's not as physical as dance or aerobics, but just as creative and not as weather-dependent as running, but just as solitary. I need that trifecta.

With my return to blog-land, I am shifting the focus of my blog. Sure, I will still talk about my actual physical running, but I also intend to discuss a less literal form of running... the running of my life. That should make for an interesting cocktail of stories, tips, experiences, and random rants.

So here we goooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

GET. EXCITED.
